Scott Clum is an artist, graphic designer, type designer, and creative director. He was one of the original designers at RAYGUN Publishing, where he co-founded and creative directed Bikini, Stick, and Nylon with Marvin Scott Jarrett. He was a professional snowboarder and an original team rider for Sims Snowboards, the original design director at Sims in Santa Barbara, and co-founder of Morrow Snowboards in Salem, Oregon. He has been designing snowboard graphics for over 30 years. Client work includes General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Levi’s, Nike, MTV, and Intel. He works largely outside the computer, using cut and paste analog process. His new magazine, WALK, is printed offset with page arrangements built by hand.
Christian Solorzano is a designer, educator, and photographer. He solves complex problems through empathy, creativity, and design, and makes space for inquiry and experimentation — guiding others toward better questions about their own conclusions on what design means. He is the founder of the Chicago Graphic Design Club, now in its sixth year, and co-founder of OP/AL. He hosts the Underscore podcast and produces Faculty, an annual journal. He teaches graphic design at DePaul University.
