During this talk, Francis describes their history and how Francis Magazine came to be.

From the initial idea to sketches to layouts and the first proof, (which exposed a flaw requiring major rework), we’ll go through the analog process of creating each spread.

Since the phrase “graphic design” was coined over 100 years ago, there has been massive change in the industry, however, nothing greater than what the last 20 years have brought. For 60 minutes, Francis will discuss the content of the magazine, how this change affects the industry, and what designers can do about it.
