On this walking tour, we focused on the history of Chicago’s printing industry by exploring Printer’s Row. We will look at the surviving buildings and discuss what the printing businesses inside did. We will also look at the area’s history and explain its critical importance in Chicago’s broader story.

The tour was led by Jackson Showalter-Cavanaugh, who runs Okay Type, a type design studio in Chicago.
