Printer’s Row Printing History Walk

About

On this walking tour, led by Jackson Showalter-Cavanaugh who runs Okay Type, a type design studio in Chicago, we focused on the history of Chicago’s printing industry by exploring Printer’s Row. We looked at the surviving buildings and discussed what exactly the printing businesses inside of them did. We also looked at the history of the area and explain its critical importance in Chicago’s broader story.
